What Would You Do?
The Customer and Insurance Coordinator, you play a vital role in supporting our customers’ post-sales while ensuring all insurance-related tasks are completed thoroughly and efficiently. You are the bridge between customers, insurance carriers, and our internal team—managing policy verifications, claims, cancellations, and more. You also help explain insurance requirements, process GAP claims, and serve as the customer’s go-to resource after closing.
This position requires detail, clear communication, and a deep sense of service.
What will you be responsible for?
Verify insurance coverage on all new deals prior to funding.
Monitor and process insurance cancellations, expirations, and changes with third-party carriers.
Track and manage policy changes, insurance claims, and required coverages.
File and follow up on customer insurance claims, including GAP and precision claims.
Explain insurance requirements and options to customers, including force-placed collateral protection insurance .
Assist customers in understanding and using the payment portal, setting up auto-pay, and reviewing their account information.
Maintain thorough documentation of all insurance interactions, updates, and claim resolutions.
Support account collectors as needed during busy periods or for insurance-related collection issues.
Assist with internal auditing and compliance processes to ensure proper documentation is on file.
Handle other duties as assigned to support the finance team and business operations.
Education
- High school degree or equivalent required.
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in accounting field preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 1yr. in insurance claims, loans, verification, or a related role-automotive or finance experience preferred..
- Prior exposure to buy here pay here or in-house financing environment strongly preferred.
