The Parts Counterperson Lead plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while keeping our parts operation running smoothly. This position combines hands-on counter work with leadership responsibilities—supporting customers, and guiding the Parts Counterperson team through scheduling, training, and daily coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales
Assist customers and technicians in selecting the correct parts and accessories.
Provide accurate pricing, warranty details, and time estimates
Process payments and complete paperwork accurately and efficiently
Handle inquiries timely and build strong, professional relationships
Parts Operations & Inventory
Retrieve parts from inventory or place orders for unavailable items
Manage will-call and back-order processes, including returns and restocking
Ensure parts documentation is accurate and complete
Assist with inventory management and ordering processes
Team Leadership
Lead monthly team meetings to review goals, procedures, and updates
Train, coach, and support Parts Counterperson staff to drive consistency and teamwork
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of dealership parts experience
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
